The data is there in the javascript when you look at someone's strava activity so someone must have created something to do it...

Delete of GC and re-upload. Strava had r100 issues yesterday but seems fine now.

I had some issues yesterday. Saved the .fit file from Garmin and uploaded to Strava manually sorted it out.

Thanks. I've deleted it from GC now, but don't have an option on the watch to re-upload the individual activity. Syncing doesn't add the activity either.

Mine is still playing up. I've deleted the rides from Garmin Connect and tried re-syncing with no luck. It is showing as syncing on my Garmin screen but Garmin Connect doesn't update the last sync time.
Checked Strava this morning and my ride to and from R100 had been uploaded but not the main event so to speak. Hoping it sorts itself out today or else I'll manually upload as @Pifko suggests

On my garmin there's an option to upload the individual ride. Odd.
-
• #4109
Yeah the forerunner 235, I can select the individual activity but only get "Details, Laps, Time in Zone, Delete" as sub-menu options. I know I could on my old 405.

On my 910xt watch the only option is to 'Transfer all' at the bottom of the 'History' menu. GC/Strava should ignore any duplicates when you do this- Alternatively delete anything from the watch you don't want uploaded.
Or have a look in the relevant folder on your computer, which should have the .fit file - You can then manually upload.

I just let it be and eventually it came through. I'm guessing it was 25,000 MAMILs chasing segments after the Ride 100

• #4112
I just dun a ride and a segment that I definitely completed doesn't show on my file.... any reason why or any way of 'recovering' it?
The segment was under a lot of tree cover and up a bastard steep hill (Carter's Hill, Kent) so there may have been some GPS issues - would that affect it?
-
• #4113
Yes. If memory serves, you have to complete 95% of the segment for it to register with Strava. If the GPS signal is interrupted by tree cover below that threshold then Strava won't recognise it.

So i buried myself up that horrible bastard hill for NOTHING. No willy waving after = no point.
I thought GPS etc may be something to do with it... thanks Andy

It happened to me a week or two ago, did two reps of Station Road at Woldingham, buried myself on the third rep, didn't get a time for it.

Those beads of sweat and whimpers of pain may well have never happened.

This started happening to me on Ride London weekend. Still happening now. Both accounts appear to be connected, but no ride sync.
Annoying. Anyone find a (non manual upload) cause or solution?

• #4118
Only the manual upload worked for me but all syncing ok since.

Is it possible to compare efforts for particular routes / segments for any chosen activities?
Similar to flyby, but with the same route & same start time.
It's possible with the fastest segment time, but I want to be able to compare multiple versions of my own activities (without having to create and edit a whole load of gpx files myself)
-
• #4120
Yes, check my results on that segment
-
• #4121
Sorry - I meant running those efforts side by side in a player, like a ghost / virtual partner.

I'm an idiot. D'oh.

How forgiving and kind do Strava tend to be.
I'm absolutely broke to the point that my youngest is running around in ruined shoes untill payday. Yet fuckwit daddy just had his last 470 kroner sucked out of his account because he forgot to cancel his free Premium trial. I fucking knew this would happen too. Bollocks.
Sent a begging email asking them to refund me for the 364 days I do not want, and cannot currently afford.
I'm not holding my breath.

Strava have been super helpful.
Kudos to them.
Thanks, seems to strip the power data from the file though.
Never mind.
