I have spent a lot of time in that neck of the woods too. Mainly going uphill but on foot, cross country skis or snowshoes. Can't imagine what it would be like to ride some of those passes.

There comes a point where you think fuck the scenery there's another mountain I have to ride up, and get far more excited about a bike shop being open than anything else.
Favourite comment by far from TABR, "Yellowstone was shit, there was no wifi" -

Hippy is practically at the checkpoint. Hope he isn't broken.

10 riders have left the checkpoint ahead of him. 2 other riders currently hanging out at the CP.

Some of the views you can see on Google Maps when following competitors are stunning.

So the control is in a ski resort and the route out is up a red run.

Photo here but I can't id it.
Probably an ISM but not sure which. He said he only received it recently though so it hasn't had many miles.

I'm guessing alternating from aero to the bars isn't helping. Any thoughts on a saddle that adjusts quickly to suit?

Definitely an adamo, look like a prologue.

Sadly I think only a double arse bypass might provide some relief.

Yes that is Leo. I bet you him and his colleagues are going to be more wrecked at the end than the riders.

Please god tell me he isn't using an unfamiliar saddle and those new shorts he bought last week!?

If its not too late he ought to make a few deposits at the next CP just in case it gets worse.

I think he may have got new bibs too (assos).

Hippy doing suffering properly.
Street view from hippy's current location, just under 5k from CP2. Hope it's warmer there today!
