I am passing through Port Isaac at lunch that day, but ditching the hill (I believe) gf has a bad knee which means everything (20kg) will be on my bike.
Which is the bistro? The fish and chips one?

The Café, I meant - not the Bistro (which is the main restaurant)

Don't bother with the restaurant - Go to the bistro instead. I've never been anything other than disappointed at the restaurant.
Or ditch Padstow, and head over the estuary to Outlaw at St Enedoc (you can take the ferry if you're staying in Padstow), or a little further to Nathan Outlaw's in Port Isaac instead (and Church Hill, for a fun climb on the bike).
