I can teach you that 'special' dismount at 1:37 if you like.

Swinley Forest is looking tropical these days

Is that what crabon bieks sound like all the time? Very odd...
-
• #8755
Probably the sound of immense wattage, electronic gears and tubs plus a Brain constantly engaging/disengaging both front and rear. Mine doesn't sound like that but then I'm running 8T less on the front and probably a third of the FTP.

My rides are generally soundtracked by rattles, grunts and wheezes.

• #8757
Same, with the occasional 'shii'... crunch

Going to do a ride from the Vertebrate Dark Peak book today. Edale > Mam Tor > Rushup > South Head > Jacobs Ladder > Edale.
Was meant to go camp last night but was too tired. Planned to leave early today but stayed up too mate last night watching stuff and done all thus morning's prep at a pleasant nimble. Will probably start the ride about 2pm.

Ok dirt minds. I need your help with a build. This unfortunately, will not be for me but for a customer. The guy is really nice, but has a fucking obscene budget and strict needs for this bike. Basically, think a Top Fuel plus around £5k more.
Annoyingly, the top fuel has little, if any internal routing. He wants utterly minimal. 29er, RC1 di2/dropped allllll carbonz jet black.
The Scott Spark is ideal, but not available till October. And sorry @Howard, no lefty's welcome here....

Any Santa Cruz options?
-
• #8761
Maybe I'll do it at the end of April next year, or October 1 this year, then...
-
• #8762
I'd like to bivvi at the top.
-

Not cleanly routed.
Who makes particularly well specced 29ers these days? -
• #8764
Niner and Pivot both have internal cable routing and are suitably expensive.
With external routing, I'd be tempted by the S-Works Epic.
-
• #8765
Or just wait for the Spark. It's only 2 months.
-
• #8766
Yeah...he's gonna get that as well.
Also, he's already got an S-works.....

• #8768
Is he fast?
-
• #8769
@BareNecessities make it two of those.
@Howard No idea, but he has a chalet/bike shed in 3 continents so there's that....
-
• #8771
Not grumpy enough!
-
• #8772
Ibis do silly expensive stuff - tried them?
-
• #8773
Obscene budget above and beyond almost all standard mass production models? Time for some bespoke crabonz, methinks...
http://www.sartoantonio.com/en/info/customcarbonframes
They do custom carbon full sussers. The frame build can be specced exactly as you want it.

Mmmm... custom sized crabon...

Custom crabonz is delicious.
Got a couple of their road frames in the shop. Ride quality= magic carpet ride.
