  • @Amey: I may have some file treads you can have.
Unless your buyer genes got activated.

@moog: IC is serious/not serious. You want to stay left for the hand ups.

  • @Amey what @andyp said.

  • For Incredibly Cross tonight chaps! Entry is either £2 or 4 beers. We will be passing the beers back to you during the race ;)

  • Poo about Hog Hill, ,,, Ive bought an old school crosslight 4t. , complete with frogslegs, twister tyres, extra handlebar brakes( very confusing) and 9 speed cassette guess i will just have to ride the mountain bike course up there,,,,

  • ah fuck, could've got them .. was on jury service all day so though I'd order before leaving from bike24 .. they were £16 each. Folding conti cyclo X king. Pray for me.

  • They're good for racing on.
I only punctured 4 times when I rode to Canterbury via the pilgrims way on them.

  • incredibly cross unfortunately not happening to due park busybodies

  • Using social media against us, how dare they..

  • I was surprised park wardens still existed in this age of austerity.

Thanks to those mysterious 'organisers' at Incredibly Cross for trying. I've no idea who they are though.

  • Well my Hilarious Plan of buying special brew for the handoffs has backfired a bit. What do I do with the stuff now?

  • Chill it. Drink it over ice.

  • make beer cocktails at your next bbq/dinner party

  • I could tape them to the underside of park benches.

  • Why?
    Drink it you fanny.

  • Take them to the next forum tramp beers. I think there's one on Wednesday next week.

    [edit: London fields at 6pm]

  • Just currently building a CX bike up, and was wondering what the best rear mech would be to go with DA shifters.. Ultegra good to use with just one ring up front? Or should I look into the Gevenalle BURD?

  • 105

Rear mechs break in cx so go for something that is cheap to replace.

  • Can you use MTB rear mechs with road shifters?

  • If you're single ringing, I'd go for something with more tension (like the BURD).

  • MTB / Road not compatible for Shimano. No clutching mech option exists for shim road.

Some Shim road mechs can have the springs tightened up - someone else will know which ones!

  • not shimano. sram you can.

on a related note - do mtb mechs survive mud better than road mechs or does it not make any difference?
