I have a G-shock of some kind - metal bezel - forgot I had it until going through boxes that have been stored for 12 years in my folks basement... still working, on the original battery! Must be at least 15 years old. ANyway, that has been surfed in, lots of snowboarding at minus temps and it keeps going. so yeah, G-shock are good.
