Did anyone post this yet? Maybe in a different thread. I've not watched it. Colleague sent it to me..

Usual LBC bollocks, shows nothing, proves nothing.

So wtf is that monstrous thing that looks like a segregated lane they are building on Duke Street Hill just south of London Bridge? anyone know what is going on there? Am guessing (hoping) it will come down later once two-way traffic returns?
-
• #205
Planned LTDA thing hence why the first cab to appear is an LTDA stickered one. The majority of cab drivers wouldn't have stopped(as that 6min loading and another 6min unloading isn't on the meter) but making an honest video about that wouldn't do the right pr for them.

I know one of the streets that way they are going to run new power cables for the hospital so will be digging lots. It came up when I was at a thing discussing how important keeping tooley street open for cycling was as they wanted everyone to go around and people would just cycle against the flow of traffic 100 yards rather than go around.

The JSP piece just comes across like she's just noshed off Paul Dacre and now wants to spew his vile, fetid, hate-filled spunk across the bbc site. It's an infantile, idiotic, incoherent rage piece.
She is such a massive twat. I've heard she's a colossal cunt to work with too; forget the story but an EP I worked with said she was a nightmare on a series he cut with her in. -

Ugh... JSP. What an utter cunt.
"They aren't legally compelled to wear a helmet."
Um, what does that have to do with the price of eggs?

Footage shows some cyclists waiting at a red light in the background while another cyclist breezes though one in the foreground causing a talking horse to spew verbal bile. Bet she doesn't even pay road tax.

Great to have a bit of TV tittle tattle, thanks.

God that SoupBox is utter twaddle. One minute it's about cycle tracks, the next minute it's about roads.

thanks for the reply. just strikes me as an accident waiting to happen

As Clockwise said, it's probably a contraflow of some sort for the duration of the works. It's really important to maintain at least two-way cycling when something like that happens. The London Bridge area has been closed off enough in the last couple of years. I'm down there quite often and it can be very difficult to get through to certain parts of Bermondsey.

Fuck making helmets compulsory, make mudguards compulsary. Why are people fine with getting wet arses, greasy spray all up their backs and spraying me in the face with grimy roadwater? Grumpy why isn't everyone sensible like me rant over

Is it legal to ride a horse down a cycle lane? One of the few segregated lanes in Bristol has massive amounts of horse shit in it this morning, doubtless from the largely redundant mounted po-po.
edit: no it isn't .... You MUST NOT take a horse onto a footpath or pavement, and you should not take a horse onto a cycle track. Use a bridleway where possible. Equestrian crossings may be provided for horse riders to cross the road and you should use these where available (see Rule 27). You should dismount at level crossings where a ‘horse rider dismount’ sign is displayed.

The met do that a lot in Islington. A mahoosive horse turd is pretty dangerous to a cyclist.

It's great for your allotment though.

Meanwhile would a bit of pedestrian style walking be frowned upon?

The new possibility of running red lights from E&C to Clerkenwell Road. 😁

Basically gave up waiting at several lights in Bleckfriar Bridge, jumping a red on some section work out better.
Re: floating bus stops, I've found the road layout changes on the ones appearing in MCR make it much easier to ride the road section versus prev layout. /csb
