  • Think the green suits it best. I've seen a few Pepsi dialled watches with Gren nato's and it's looking like a great combo across all of them.

After seeing Murtles suede strap, I think I need to reassess whats on my other watches as I now need one haha

  • Oops, thought I had.
Having issues uploading from my phone with a dodgy signal

  • Anyone here have a Sinn, particularly the 756?

  • I have a 556 a, love it. Been looking for a black 756 for ages.

  • Dayyyymmm son, that is a fine ass watch.

  • Just popped into the Omega boutique on Oxford Street, I like the Tintin.

  • Guy at work is obsessed with the Hulk Submariners so has a green bezel on his SKX. Will take a pic.

  • Here it is!

  • I have this one that Murts modded for me - change of face and bezel

  • did you have the domed sapphire on your 55f? It's starting to get closer to the price of the Helson than I thought by the time you sort out dial, crystal, hands to do it proper! But I do quite fancy the tinkering. You've caused me no end of thought. Any photos of yours?

  • The ultimate Seiko Pepsi is still the Pogue.

  • They both look great. Can't wait to get mine now.
Almost want to get an SKX007 as well to lightly mod.

  • I fancy an 7002 for modding

  • If you don't like importing from Japan I got my SNZG15 from Monsterwatches.nl, the guy stocks lots of Seikos

  • MIne was mid-domed. I sold it a few years ago. Will see if I can dig out an old photo from old backups.

My itch for tinkering is currently being scratched with a stripdown and rebuild of an ETA 6498. https://secure.eta.ch/CSP/DesktopModules/ViewDoc.aspx?tabindex=2&tabid=28&DocId=627&DocType=DT

  • ^ This movement will be going into my first attempt at a full watch.

I have a case, dial, hands set and strap that in theory, should look passable when all stuck together.

  • You're a braver man than I Stonehedge. I like the idea of messing with movements but looking at that lot I wouldn't know where to start. I watched a video this afternoon of a watchmaker servicing an Omega Chronograph movement and it was insane how many parts there were!

  • While I assume, like all things, that once you start doing it you quickly gain a greater understanding of what each bit does and why it all fits together like it does - I concur - not for me! Have triggered on the SNZH and some bits, see if I can manage dial/hand swaps etc first I think!

  • I have to clean, lube and then put the fucker back together now. This could be a disaster.

  • YouTube is your f(r)iend...

  • Very impressive, mate... 👍

  • Say that when its all back together and ticking.

    I'm hooked. Thoroughly enjoyable.

  • If there are any bits left over lighter is better, right? 😅

  • @Stonehedge

And bang... There's a bit missing!

    Lol

    Use gaffa tape Dan!

  • I have no idea where that part went! I know for a fact it was in one of the trays and now it simply isn't there!

Can't have gone far. I blame the cat.
