I've finally got around to making a small batch of bike racks. I'd like to do a very soft launch on LFGSS before I start putting energy into making a website and a brand. Or perhaps a brand and a website.
These are my own design, laser cut from high grade baltic birch plywood, assembled and finished by my own hands in sunny Nunhead.
I've tried to design a piece of furniture first and foremost - something you'd be happy to have on your wall whether or not you've got a bike hanging from it. As you can see, there's a couple of cubby holes for lights, tools, hats and the like, and you can pop your helmet on the shelf too.
The price is £145.
If you're interested, either post in this thread, or PM me.
Does anyone think this warrants it's own thread, btw?
Looks fantastic. My only suggestion would be maybe consider some kind of soft liner on the inside edges, for those with carbon bikes with precious paint jobs.
Not a bad idea. I've had alu and steel bikes in mine, and it hasn't scratched. I guess because carbon has a tiny bit more give in it, perhaps the paint could be more vulnerable? I should do a test.
