If it was me, and who knows it may be some day, I'd have the standard, unadorned, hand-wound, perspex-crystal original - the one that went to the moon, and is still rated for space flight by NASA.
Omega are horribly guilty of making ugly Speedmaster spinoffs to cash in on the heritage of the moonwatch. That moon-phase isn't the worst, but why not have the genuine piece of history?
I'm thinking of buying a nice watch. I've got my eye on an omega speedmaster moonwatch. can anyone suggest any alternatives to this? I was thinking of the one with the moon phase. is it worth the extra cash over the one without that comes in a box with two extra straps etc? any advice would be great
