So it was my birthday yesterday and I came into town to Alsal and tried on a Max Bill fully expecting to pull the trigger and.... meh, just didn't suit me. Took a bus to the Antique Watch company in Clerkenwell to look at some Omegas but I couldn't afford the nice ones so it's back to saving again. Le sigh.

I picked up an irresistably cheap Trident in the Christopher Ward sale. It's 38mm and had a terrible leather band which might have explained that.

A mesh bracelet later and it's a completely different timepiece. Super pleased.
