I've also flown longer flights in economy, but the seat space in this budget flight was ridiculous, and yes the client should pay for a decent economy flight
tbf, the pr did apologize as it was the only available seat, and my grievance is more with tight arse airlines squeezing space

So a client should pay more because you're tall? Is that their fault?
I'm 6"1 and have flown a lot longer than 3 hours in economy, htfu
