  • go for the one that doesn't shred.

    unless...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Bf2oZVe3FY

  • PM me your mob# and I'll send you a gooch pic...

    Oh and ASL...

  • Latex tubes for this? Would I need to pump them up every day?

  • @bananaskid

I don't eat McDonalds. Let's see how this gets tested...
If McChucks is open though, other chains likely will be? Q or whatever their sandwich/burger joints are?

I'm not actually bothered if I'm at the top of Furkapass at 2am in the rain, IF I'm warm enough and IF I can see the road to get down. Time will tell though.

    Is Mikko on here?

This should be in TCR thread but don't think I can move posts in the new software.

  • Been working on my route. Looks good.

    That's all.

Fast food is good, becasue it's fast. Plus they generally have clean toilets for shit.
I'd just eat a chicken burger and chips and get an orange juice drink.
    Better than petrol station sandwiches.

  • Are you going north or south?

    I can't decide on:
    Mont > Kos > Mac > Greece
    Mont > Alb > Mac > Greece
Mont > Alb > Greece (cut out a country, no border control, no currency worries? But longer)

    or north
    Mont > Kos > Mac > Bulg > Tur
    Mont > Kos > Bulg > Tur

    So Many Options

I'd prefer not to give my money to petrol stations if at all possible but beggars/choosers.. emphasized text

  • Personal choice.

    I'll go Mont > Koso > Mac > Greece.

    It's by far the shortest.
AS we're going south, the borders should be fine.

  • I am a bit apprehensive about now using a British passport through europe.
    Fucking brexit cunts.

  • Yeah, my original plan. But quite lumpy. Ok for you not so hot for me. Very tempted to add distance and lose climb by heading further south but we'll see.

  • You won't be able to lose much climbing. It's pretty flat from Kosovo on.

  • Boom! Double the passports, double the fun!

  • I've got one route that sticks to Kosovo but avoids a fair amount of the E65 so I'll probably load all the variants onto all my devices and pick one depending on time of day, etc.

  • By Kosovo you'll be numb to head on overtakes and close passes. You'll be fine.

  • I'm numb to that shit now from spending years in the Chilterns. I guess I'm just expecting worse for some reason. I remember Istanbul traffic. Urgh.

  • Nah it's not that bad. Well at least you don't need to cycle into Istanbul.

  • Just did my visa.
    Not really anything left now.

    Just train.

  • Just train.

    The easy bit.

  • Too late to train.

About the E65: I think Mikko said it's forbidden for trucks 5pm to 10pm, and as he got there at 9, there were trucks already waiting to get on the road, so it was stressful for him. Narrow road. But he managed.

  • No way too late to train.
Next two weeks are the time to train!

Yeah @andyp and im migrating tomorrow!

  • Looks like all the organised fuckers booked all the rooms in Gerraaaarrrrrdddesssssbergen.

Should I risk the alcohol coma of staying in Ghent or go for Brussels? Anything else around the Muur that's worth looking at?

  • @Samuli more than enough time to train. Two weeks of pretty intensive will get you fit enoughish. It's largely a psychological battle anyway

@hippy we may have an airbnb room available in Geraardsbergen.

  • Looking forward to slacking off at work and following dots on a screen again soon. Trying to work out what route people are taking and where they are stopping etc. My productivity at work went off a cliff last year :p

  • Thanks dude but my missus is coming over and staying another night so I've found a place near a brewery, of course. :)

  • I'll be the one in Portugal, screaming incoherently at three dead Garmins...
