Running away rarely solves anything. Better to stay, engage with people and try and change things.

I would normally agree with you but at this point I'm still at the rage-quitting stage.

It gets a bit complicated having a flat and a partner who is less motivated to GTFO as quickly as possible - otherwise the flight would have been booked already.
