I just can't see it being much use for top level racers this is intended for.
It's not uncommon, even the pro have a big range in the Giro
Sky have a standard 11-28 because it work for all scenario, no need to constantly swap cassette round for certain stages.
11-30 sound like it'll keep a similar jump between each cassette while having a decent lower gear for some of the climb.
Disc brakes, and their associated fancy new levers, and massive rear cassettes.
Don't get me wrong, it's all interesting stuff, I just can't see it being much use for top level racers this is intended for.
