Do Fibrelyte do ramps and pins?
-
• #13728
Don't think they do ramps - just machined lower teeth and pins.
-
• #13729
Just looks slightly warn from use as there are worn/flatter teeth at opposite sides of the chainring.

Brand new.
I'd say they are by design to aid shifting.

Do Fibrelyte do ramps and pins?
Yup:
Fibre-lyte chainrings for use as an outer chainring on a double or triple are machined with release teeth and alloy lift pins are added. These are designed to aid shifting and prevent damage to the chainring during shifting. If the chainrings are ordered as a double set they will be machined as a matched pair to give the best shifting possible. Fibre-lyte chainrings are also compatible with Shimano's Di2 system.Although seller claims this is a "Time" ring, not FL...

If the teeth were worn, I doubt they'd still be profiled at the tip.

Could anyone offer an InternetBikeFit™ based on this video? I've been moving the extensions out and up and the saddle has been moving forward for a while. Feels better but no idea if it'll be quick.
Caveat: I'm boucing around because I was doing 4 mins @ 115rpm. I'm usually pretty stable.

Your front wheel is lower than rear In photo.
If it's comfy and you feel strong then keep it.
Position is all personal. I ride with my saddle so far bag, but I've long femeurs. -

Not an expert, but your saddle might be slightly too high. If you raise your front wheel so the bike is level it could possibly help with the diagnosis. Maybe. Other than that, looks good, although I would suggest a cage or shelf for the bottle.
Nice bike!

Shorter stem, then you'll be able to sit on the saddle.

Gonna test it out on the road tomorrow but I'm fairly happy.
The saddle could come down maybe, I'm pretty all over the place in the video when I look at it now. Feels fast though.
@Sam, riding a wonky 30 year old fake Colnago is all about marginal gains. Psychological warfare when you pass £4k TT chariots.

if you pass £4k TT chariots

Touché.

• #13742
Obviously I was talking about pre-race when you're pootling past everyone warming up on turbos.
-
• #13743
Touchéing - isn't that what Rolph got done for?
-
• #13744
I wouldn't have said saddle needs to come down.
I'm a big fan of the slow roll past everyone warming up on turbos riding a huge gear in the TT position at about 17rpm. Makes me feel special even if it doesn't psych out the competition.

My chainring is bigger than yours.

Oooh vicar

So's your belly

Tried the big gear thing but I reckon I'm stronger spinning a bit more. 97" @ 90-100rpm.

You mean my 'front splitter'?

What's the usual thinking for %ftp for a 50, 80% for 100 was ok but a little crampy by the end, thinking 87%, as that would be 10 watts more than the last one I did and hopefully the faster course and better position + faster wheels will make up for the rest of the 12 minutes I want to improve by!
What's going on with the teeth?
The mix of low and full height teeth look like they're for shifting, but no ramps & pins.
