Hey @mdcc_tester after a 42mm (I think) for a 2012 Caad 10, are you taking orders at the moment?
-
• #604
Hey up @mdcc_tester do you have any made up / can you make them for 1 1/4" steerer Giant TCR?
-
• #606
I'll take both and hope for the best! I'll pass on the top cap, as the giant SLR stem I'm using has a countersunk topcap
Please can you send me your bank details again and a total amount to pay - switched banks since the last time I bought from you!
Thanks!!

Forgive my absolute inability (more a lack of will) to scour the thread, but what do I need for a Specialized Allez?
Whatever it is, I'll take one...

Cannondale is now suitably slammed cheers

what do I need for a Specialized Allez?
"Specialized Allez" could refer to any number of models over more than two decades of production. Have a look at the first post in this thread and take measurements.

In fairness, I did look at the first post, although it's far too scientific for a drunkard like me at this stage.
It's this frameset (https://www.evanscycles.com/specialized-allez-24-2010-road-bike-00126018)
If this isn't enough I'll do the legwork when sober at some point in the near future.
Kind regardz.

Much the best plan :-)

I need to replace the FSA conical spacer from my 2010 BMC SL01 - it has a tapered 1 1/8” – 1 ¼” fork... I guess the top bearing cover is a standard dimension?
Currently my measuring tools are in a box, on a boat somewhere in the pacific. What would be the bearing cover I need and are there any in stock? Also, @mdcc_tester - is posting to Aus. an issue if I pay the extra for postage?Oh, and another thing... slam that stem for a 2005 CAAD with standard 1 1/8" drop in headset (campag 45º bearing I believe)?
Thanks in advance.

CAAD is easy, they all seem to take the same 47×2 cover. You really need to measure the BMC. I can post to Australia, but you need to pay in Sterling (I haven't checked, but judging from the wailing doomsayers post-Brexit, £1≈AU$1) by bank transfer, so I hope you still have a UK account.
-
• #614
Brilliant, thanks. I have still have pounds (now far too many) in a UK account so payment is easy. I'll measure the BMC and get back to you. Cheers!

I really want one of these...but even following your excellent diagrams I have no idea what to measure...
Is it possible to see on an actual headset stack what I need to measure?

I have no idea what to measure...
I can't think of anything useful I could add to the instruction in post #1

incredibly speedy delivery, thank you very much

Hi.
I would like to buy one of your headset covers. My bike has a dia. of 47mm! Do you have any left for sale? And you need to send to Denmark. ;-) I hope this is possible. Do you have any topcaps? Like in post 15? I could be interested in one of those as well. Please let me know if you have any of these ready for sale and shipment?
Regards

And you need to send to Denmark.
I can send to Denmark as long as you can send sterling payments to a UK bank. Plenty of 47mm covers in either 2mm or 3mm deep. At the moment, I only have top caps in raw silver.

Thank you. Since I had several carbon and alloy covers laying around. I decided to try and modify a couple... the result is actually pretty good ;-) So for the time being I will try to use one of those. One is about 2,5mm of stack and in carbon and the other in alloy is 1mm of stack.
When do you expect maybe to have the topcap in black? It is no problem to make payment in £ :-) it only cost about £2 for the transfer. So no problem. But I will let you know if I need one of your covers in the future.

Next time I have a batch of anodising to do. I don't know when that will be, but probably not soon. There's a top caps thread which drives the schedule for those parts

Do you. Know what I'd need for a Specialized Allez E5 Smartweld 2016?
I'd like one of your top caps too, if you're doing any soon?

Currently looking like this because of a measuring error when cutting steerer; conical spacer gone and shorter headset spacer in place under stem. Safe in the meantime?
