Shit, I just deleted my whole reply.... so again :D
First of all, bear in mind that on my older Rossin I have Campy Khamsins, while on the Prestige I have Zondas, which are apparently way better.
The Prestige has hexagonal Tange Prestige tubing, while my older Rossin is made of classical Columbus SL or SLX tubes, not sure. Not speaking of the whole grouppo, on my new bike I have a full 2015 11s Chorus, on my older steelhorse I have 10s Centaur.
And besides this, I have absolutely no experience with any carbon, Ti or Alu frames. I owned an Alu pinarello 10 years ago for a few months but honestly, I do not remember the ride quality, I was not prepared for road cycling and sold the bike after a few months.
A friend of mine who owns an alu Canyon tried the Prestige and according to his words it "bites" :D And I have to agree.
The bike is surprisingly responsive, it is stiffer than my older Rossin and the acceleration is also quite good. On uneven, bumpy roads the bike absorbs shocks way better than my older bike, I do not know whether it is due to the better wheelset or the frame itself, I guess both contribute to the better experience. The bike weighs 9kg which is OK for an old steel frameset I believe. Probably the only downside is the front part I would say, on downhills above 55km/h+ it is a bit flimsy. This could be reduced by a carbon fork + stiffer stem but I could not afford it now and more importantly the Prestige fork is way too beautiful with that crown and hexagonal shaping to replace it. But besides this I am more than satisfied with the result and this just confirms my theory that people tend to massively underrate and somehow deride "vintage" frames. Not speaking of the fact that this frame is from the early 90s which is not that "vintage" as it may look :)
That is very close to reality, on Saturday I was on a 120km trip, on Sunday I did only a 50km "recovery ride", I am already in love with the bike.
I purchased a Garmin 810 from @anidel who was very helpful, the transaction was super smooth, thanks a lot!!
I did not upload any pictures yet because I have just one shot with my cellphone and it is of rather shitty quality.
An acquaintance of mine has a proper cam, she will upload some European maps to my Garmin and I will ask her to make a few shots, please, be patient gentlemen! ;)
(I know I said very soon, sorry... :P)
