Hey man, what are you talking about? Pls check PM
-
• #1728
Why bother with an NJS frame if you're going to run a brake?
-
• #1729
This, without doubt, is THE most sensible question you've ever asked.
-
• #1730
Gosh, so honoured to have finally met your approval.
-
• #1732
No! One must abide by the forum rules and heed forums collective opinion in any situation!
-
• #1733
lol. Always best to make up ones own mind imo

Lighten up...
-
• #1735
it's all about the paint, it'd cost me as much as an njs frame to get a non njs frame painted in the same way
-
• #1736
Tbh I wouldn't drill the original fork, I just thought that getting a lone pair of forks instead to drill would of been an alright alternative to a clamp on?
Realistically though, clamp on brake is probably the easiest cheapest option and can be removed easily
-
• #1737
Why a brake? None of your previous bikes have had one no?
-
• #1738
Hmm not currently no, Plan is to put a front rack on though and a front brake may be sensible. I mean I'd probably be fine without one but I kind of want at least 1 bike with a brake

One of the most sought after NJS frame builder's frames (In my opinion), rad paint, rad build, Fat off basket, brklss.

• #1740
anyone got a lone 170 NDS crank arm to sell cheaps by any chance?
-
• #1741
Those clamp on brakes have barely any power, wouldn't you be better off just swapping to a lower ratio when you got to carry some extra weight?

I've used one before for a bit and found it okay.
I'm about to make my order and I think I'm just going to get an additional fork with it. Won't cost me any extra for shipping or customs so at £45 there's little risk. I'll be able to sell it on for that price fairly easily if I change my mind
-
• #1745
Drill it straight into the headtube for a much better fit.

Plan is to put a front rack on though and a front brake may be sensible.
oh shit a rack? this is what you need then

ok, anyone got a 167.5 NDS 7710 arm? cause i've fucked one of those aswell
-
• #1748
a old shimano brake will do the work maybe with a little grinding, they are alot smaller than the new ones..
First thing new owner of my old watanabe was to drill the forks..
-
• #1749
Changed my plan and I think I'm going for the Giro that's in the classifieds, so no drilling will be taking place.
Sad story about your Watanabe

a cool :)
sad or not, it is hundreds and hundreds of those frames out there but yeah this one was nice and no dents..
If you choose 1 you're a puppy murderer.
2 is the only real option.
