Kuota Kalibur has a tapered head tube. Top is 1 1/8, bottom is 1 1/4 (as marked on forks/headset). Installed currently is a Stronglight semi-integrated headset. The forks are cracked on the carbon steerer. The headset is shot, needs replacing entirely.

I want to run 1 1/8 forks with Alu steerer.

Is the "Cannondale Synapse Alloy Lower Headset Reducer Cup Kit - KP172" correct for reducing a 1/4 to 1/8, to allow me a regular 1 1/8 threadless headset? It is half the price of the other reducers I have found.

Get long cages derailleur and 11-32, any Shimano one will do, like the Tiagra 4600 rear.

Grenson's do a good selection of G width shoes. They have a few shops around.
Church's do some wide lasts - at least they used to, I've not seen them in a while.
You may have some luck with a few of the Sanders models.

Can anyone recommend a cheap windows based tablet? Need it to run a small programme and capture data from a remote un networked device. A USB stick cannot be used and I can't be arsed lugging a laptop back and forth.

I wouldn't go with the really cheap ones, I tried a few of the Linx ones with only 1GB of RAM and everything was painfully slow.
