Also new in Hackney is a tiny cycling café called Beryl's, after that Beryl, which I think is a great name. Stop by for a coffee the next time you're in the area. It's right on the bend in Dalston Lane (E8) at the junction with Ridley Road, and is attached to About the Bike. It's easy to miss for morning commuters, as it's on your left as you ride past and it's not the easiest corner to stop on when you have someone revving up behind you.
