  • You've neglected to mention how some levers (shimano) pull more a few mm more cable than others (campy, SRAM), hence the need for slightly longer brake arms to keep maintain the same pull ratio... But hey, that's just maths, I guess brake "feel" is more tumblr or something...

  • I guess brake "feel" is more tumblr or something...

wut? by feel I mean adjustability (distance from rims), leverage and modulation. Power generally is there in most scenarios .. yeah Tumblr >>>> ;)

  • Got my Scanini frameset in the mail and slapped some Campagnolo on it and went for a ride. Have to change the cables and housings to new ones but otherwise it was very enjoyable.

  • My point was "feel" is subjective. There's a mathematical reason they produce two different arm lengths and that matching them up to the cable pull from your levers is good place to start, then decide if you want a little more grab/mush.

  • leverage and adjustability tho ..

with 90mm arms i've had to push the doubletap levers all the way to drops to move pads couple of mm towards the rim. 85mm is perfect. I feel on a road bike 80mm should be fine too with 35mm tyres and a guard hence Paul racers brazed on is the best solution.

  • Neo Scoble

  • Had quite a busy afternoon, order some TRP CX8.4 as recommended.

Put the 'original' Si Stem back on my System Six, I had a shoulder operation 2 weeks ago and my 3T 130mm was a bit too agressive for me at the moment. I'll put it back on as soon as I'm healed.

I also got round to trimming the steerer on my 29er, I've got some 2" WTB Nine Lines to go on it for the summer too.

Also made a little brass mount for my new rear dynamo light

  • Lovely
    Big cannondale fan? :)

  • I almost bought a Capo last night too...

...But I am also quite tall, and own two of them.

  • 130bcd narrow wide 38t and cheap?

Or is 40 the smallest I'll get on 130?

  • Asked in Spotter's System Six thread but I'll ask here as well:

Does a CAAD 10 2011 model need the proprietary headset and SI compression system to work ideally or can I just use a standard Lifeline Carbon bung and go about my day?

Also, does it need a bearing cover on top for the tightening to be done correctly or can I just tighten the stem down and still have it work without any damages to me or bike?

Buying a Slam cover from mdcc but that'll take a few days to arrive.

The sooner you pay, the quicker it will get to you :-)

I don't think anyone knows for sure, but the consequences of finding out that a different type of bung is inadequate strike me as severe enough to warrant coughing up for the proper part as an insurance policy.

  • I'll sell you absolute black 42t 130bcd narrow wide cheappp

  • I'll have that in mind actually. Will probably cough it up after the RAAS race in july.

  • I really wanted small as poss but you have my attention...

  • Nice tower of rims in the background there!
