Rear end looks like one of those '90s 'Dales with the dropouts that stuck way out the back. They changed away from that frame design for a reason.

Aye, because they were ali and kept snapping, these are steel and a completely different design.

someone on my club run was riding an On-One Bish Bash Bosh the other day, and although he was testing some different (swankier) wheels, it does look like a lot of bike for the money.

Having said that, his was black rather than orange...

Actually, since I'm not 100% sold on drops, stuff like the Cube Travel Pro could be the answer. Alfine hub, Shimano hydro brakes, comes with guards (though they do look quite short) and a dynamo set up as standard, massive tyre clearance and rrp is only £700.

after the events of HOTN VII - I can officially announce that basically any bike with vittoria open pave tires (below 80 psi) is a gravel bike.
