If you don't need to hang things then the Muji boxes I think look neat.
We've got exposed hangers in our bedroom alcove shelving but limit the amount of clothing on each rail, so as not to give the 'crowded as fuck' look.
2nd bedroom will have a 2 more rails for her indoors clothes that need hanging.

Cheers all.
Roller catches look good but it has to slide across a little before being seated so I'm not sure if that's possible. Magnets are a possible, the front of my boiler is held on by them at the moment ...

Stolmen?

Nope. All Pax. We had a 4th "bedroom" that was a failed en-suite under the previous owners (lack of money to finish, conceived another child). There is no external window, just a skylight so it made for a perfect walk-in. Had to assemble the tall ones in situ as you could not get them through the door and have enough clearance to get them upright. Hours and hours of swearing and my hands were trashed. Good result though.

Cheers. I think we need to think about what we want.
We still have to repaint the rad, redo the windowsill and touch up a few bits.
Personally I like stacked Muji boxes but Mrs. Hugo7 hates Muji stuff so that's a no go.
We were hoping to avoid Ikea for the house. Although we're starting more or less from scratch we've got the essential bits we need (other than dressing room storage obviously).

Is it Worktop Express that people recommend for worktops?
-
• #7586
Perfect, thankfully their showroom is about 10 miles from me so going to pop in.
What wood did you go with? Tempted by Iroko as it is meant to be hardwearing, but do love the look of Bamboo. Need a pretty big bit as well 3m x 1m....

That's unpossible.

I'm from your continent so I'm used to having walk-ins. People here think we've cut £££ of the house price by removing a bedroom. It's madness gone mad.

We went with the Prime Oak. Was also tempted by the Bamboo but chose Oak in the end due to the colour match of our flooring. Also had to get a 3m x 1m - and feck was it heavy (required carry to our first floor flat = not fun). Super good product though for the price.
Just make sure you oil both sides for a week or so before installation and have it in the room your installing it in so it gets used to the moisture levels etc.

Cool. Tempted to use their service to cut radius corners and rounded edge profiles. Did you do use them to do any of that?
-
• #7591
Yeah we did the radius corners and it was spot on (also proved useful for not walking into a sharp corner).
Sort of which I'd paid for the sink cut out as I had to do that myself which was a little time consuming. Rounded edge profiles would have been nice too, we were on a budget so the only treat was a rounded corner...
After you put all the details into their online tool they email you the "technical" drawing so you can triple check everything.

Perfect. Think I will get them to do the edges at least, need a curve for a corner cabinet as well. need something crazy like 20 odd metres, so its real wood or laminate, and can't bring myself to put laminate in.
-
• #7593
Yeah, I ummed and urrred for ages about wood vs laminate vs other materials and came to the conclusion that wood looks/feels nicer and thats what matters to me at this point in time...
Loads of people raise the issue of having to oil it or that staining can occur. I've not found any of it an issue so far as we take care of it. Good luck and keep me posted!

I have this and agree. It's shit. It gets over packed and looks bad.
-

I was thinking possibly of a ply panel with the tiles stuck on and velcrod to the wooden frame that the bath is on. Any other suggestions?
Keku clips.
[Edit - thought they did a clip that you didn't have to lift up and off, not so sure now]

OH HAI.
Me again.
Sorry.
SO, the space behind my current loo is too small for a hidden cistern and there is no room elsewhere to hide one, meaning, normal toilet for me...
Where can I grab a contemporary looking one for not too much money this week? East. Or brand recommendations. Argos do one that looks ok and I can get a discount.. crazy talk?
