It could even be something like a muscle imbalance somewhere meaning you're landing heavier on your hot-spot foot. I am not a physio though, good idea to go visit one though, especially before starting a big load of marathon training.
Oh and some yoga - Yes @_Leon I'll be attending your sessions soon now I live close by.
Wore new trainers for the run, hoping that the pain was due to old knackered ones.
