hey all. One of the threads holding my front carrier block has stripped. Advice please? Quite happy to take it in to a shop as long as they know what they're doing. @edscoble

Helicoil would be the usual fix for stripped threads. That or drill and tap to a larger screw thread.
Not sure you've got much space on that little nub on the head tube though.
Failing that weld or braze the hole up and retap.

yeah I basically need a decent mechanic that knows bromptons and one end of a helicoil from another...

Gah. New front half of the frame required just because of a stripped thread on one of the luggage block mounts. £200 inc. labour and powdercoating. Check the torque on those little bolts people!
