Vardy over morata or higuain
We were never going to go back in for Higuain. Morata is a target but Real know how desperate we are for him and will want a slice of that, we could be looking at a 60m bill to get him with the 3 way shenanigans. If we have Vardy sitting alongside Giroud and Welbeck on the books we suddenly look less desperate to the tune of at least 20m. If we get Morata in for 40m then we've essentially got a 2 for 1 deal, if we don't we might get 1 or 2 decent seasons out of Vardy for not a whole bunch of money in footballing terms.

But even with welbeck out for a while you still seem to have a surfeit of attacking forwards but not enough strikers of sufficient quality to help you win the big games.
Wonder if this transfer doesn't pan out if that's the backbreaking straw for wenger's reign? -

Just thought that he may not want his IRL name on this thread. Or any where on the net for that matter.

In which case he should've created a new profile, rather than recycling his old one, using the title of his most prolific ever thread on this forum.

Koeman and about 6 new players

Christ.
Give him a season before you start moaning about his tactics and signings.

Like koeman and hope he does well, but think Everton missed a trick by not appointing Unai emery. Will be interesting if Southampton appoint emery and he does better at Southampton than koeman does at Everton...

We have a lack of decent options on the right - Walcott, Ox, Campbell - I'd sooner Mahrez than all of those. We lack a player with two good feet, pace, guile who can finish. Mahrez is all of those.

I think Emery was just too much of a gamble for Moshiri. Sure Emery has done very well at Sevilla and Valencia but it hasn't all been great. Sevilla didn't win a single away game all season in La Liga. Granted they won the Europa league multiple times but Moshiri will have eyes on consistency and moving up the league table. I think it was just too much of a risk to take on a manager who doesn't speak much English and who couldn't set his team up to win a single away game in La Liga. Emery is undoubtedly a talented manager but I'm not sure how well he'd adjust to the premier league. I don't think La Liga is as competitive as the Premiership and unfortunately players wield far more power here than on the continent. Something I'm interested to see how well Pep copes especially coming from Germany.
Don't need Mahrez. But you're right about him being the LCFC player that is most clubs should be wanting from them.
