No disrespect to Vardy whose done really well for himself. But if this is true is this the top flight striker that Arsenal fans have been begging Wenger to buy for the last couple of seasons. What say you @Tenderloin @andyp, @middleofnowhere Vardy over morata or higuain or cavani (just some of the names you've been linked with made moves for in the past)

Sanchez, Welbeck, Walcott, Campbell, Giroud and now Vardy.
That's a bit of an unbalanced front line if you ask me or am I missing something?

What do I think? It's a shit signing and shit piece of business. Not the right type of player, almost 30 and he's a dirty cnut.
He's much more a Franny Jeffers than an Ian Wright. We've gone from Higuain and Suarez, to Benzema and Cavani and ended up with Jamie Vardy. It's fucking ridiculous. I'd sooner just play Giroud.
Mahrez would make sense but not Vardy.
People are now saying it will be nearer £30m, which is 40m Euro - We should be buying Aubameyang.
Nolito has a similar release clause and would be a better option.

Vardy over morata or higuain
We were never going to go back in for Higuain. Morata is a target but Real know how desperate we are for him and will want a slice of that, we could be looking at a 60m bill to get him with the 3 way shenanigans. If we have Vardy sitting alongside Giroud and Welbeck on the books we suddenly look less desperate to the tune of at least 20m. If we get Morata in for 40m then we've essentially got a 2 for 1 deal, if we don't we might get 1 or 2 decent seasons out of Vardy for not a whole bunch of money in footballing terms.

I think Vardy would add two things that Arsenal are in dire need of, 1) pace, energy and directness up front and 2) a desire and will to win.
Wenger has rarely got it right when buying strikers though, especially in the past ten years.
