Travel UK..re purchasing bike frame/s

Hello,
I have travelled extensively, just never to the UK.
Partly to purchase steel road bike frame/s ..the rest of time is to visit Durham where grandparents were born(deceased).
Do you purchase online, get it delivered to address where staying or physically go to persons home.
For example if bought something on LFGSS..what's the usual way to do this?
Where would you base yourself, re accommodation wise..somewhere central?
Sorry for the dumb questions, trying to plan in advance..

I don't understand. You don't know what you want to buy or who you want to buy it off but you want to buy something from the UK? New/Used?

If used then base yourself wherever the seller is. If new, have them send it to you.

Hi , thanks for the replies, I want to purchase road bike frame/s..not knowing the transport system ie train, rail..would prefer not to be based in the middle of somewhere with no easy access to public transport.
