Double check the chainring, see if it's shark toothed or not.
Does it shift 100% or have a bit of a lags every time you shift up? If so, the derailleur might need replacing, check cable and derailleur first to ensure it's clear of gurk.
If you haven't had your hinge replaced in two and a half years, then I'd advised booking it in rather.
Booking it in mean the guys will strip and put your components in a part washer to thoroughly removed the gurk, which is one of the main advantage over home mechanic.

I've been commuting on my Brompton through London for 2 and a half years now. The rims are almost worn through so I'm replacing the wheelset but I also want to know what else needs doing.
I've swapped out the chain and cogs a few times and replaced the chain tensioner quite recently. It's a 2 speed.
Or should I just take it in for a service at Brompton Junction?
