  • Over in Berlin soon, any bars/beer things worth checking out? Last time we popped into Hops & Barley, but other than that it was mostly streetbeers and cafes

  • I've tried about 10 of these. Very tasty. Good session strengths, averaging 4%.

  • I know a guy out there who knows his beer, will put you in touch.

OT but for coffee "The Barn" is a must apparently.

  • Stone Americano on tap at brewdog SB was amazing. Best beer for ages.

  • discovered Beaverhunt Gamma Ray last night - superb - and also Peanut Riot Porter - which was OK for half of it

    ooh me head

  • Hopfenreich is good

  • Cheers, had that recommended (+ points for being near where we're staying!) along with Hermann's and Kashk although I've yet to look them up.

  • http://www.brauerei-flessa.de/ these guys were below the apartment I was staying in last time I was there (fortuitous).

If you use gmail, PM me your email and I will send you a map my mate made with loads of decent bars & beer gardens etc

  • Siren's Vanilla Weisse is fantastic if the taste of vanilla ice cream with sour lemons on top is your thing.

  • Just ordered a crate of Orval, winning at life

The latest Grisettes, Saisons and Session IPAs from Brew By Numbers are all pretty lovely, shall be sinking a few in the garden tomorrow

  • Had my bottle of the Buxton/Hasbean Coffee Porter last night. Delicious.

  • Went to Magic Rock Tap yesterday.

    5/7 would recommend.

The Three's Company was particularly good.

  • Did you go the The Sportsman down the road? Great pub!

  • Nah we walked past but didn't have time to pop in. Next time.

  • Popped in last night for a quick half, can't remember what I drank but it was good, revisiting later in the week!

  • Cracked open my bottle of Unhuman Cannonball last night. Not convinced it was the best-tasting beer ever, but well-named based n how I felt this morning. Also recently disappointed by Brass Castle's Northern Blonde, which tasted like that mouthful of un-matured home brew you get when siphoning it into bottles...

  • Orval turned up in a proper Orval branded crate, bought it here: https://belgiuminabox.com/

There's some great stuff on there

Off out tonight to a Balls Brothers bar to celebrate newly promoted partners at my company. At £5.25 for a shitty bottle of Becks and £6.10 for a bottle of Einstock I'm happy the new partners are paying

  • Lets all drink European. REMAIN!
