This high court challenge is intended to do nothing except delay the project. If it succeeds, all it will do is waste more money. Londoners spoke when they elected a pro-bridge Mayor. - its a shame a tiny minority don't respect this mandate.

I'd imagine it'd be various legal problems buying themselves out of contracts with construction companies etc.

Khan said that scrapping the Thames crossing would waste almost £40m of public money already spent.
