I'm not taking it personally, but I'm unimpressed at how open he was about it - he actually said "everyone's at it, aren't they?"

I explained that I had made sure that my own tax liabilities were minimised, I paid what I was supposed to on an annual basis and I didn't agree with him rinsing the system when I wasn't prepared to.

Basically the standard phrase trotted out by people like that, when the reality is no, hardly anyone is actually - most people are fundamentally decent and honest.

Great way to justify it to yourself though.

I hold the same level of contempt for people who park in disabled parking spaces or those who misuse the blue badges.

Disgusting, appalling people - especially who say "I'll only be five minutes..."
