Really nice ride.
I'd like to try Thunder Burts at some point. I was really happy about my Smart Sam tyres for commute/gravel mix, but specific summer mtb tyres would also be nice. Currently rocking Rocket Rons.Marin is almost done. Just need rear disc bracket welded on and fine tuning of gears. Also I like to replace Zipp seatpost and Thomson stem with something less fancy as this will be the bike I lock up around London town...
If anybody has a loooooong (400mm) cheap black seatpost and a cheap black 70/80mm 17 degree OS stem I would like to buy it.

Sick, still killin it. I feel like you have an unlimited stash of P2 forks..
a few links out the chain too right? :) -

Slacked out a bit due to long A-C? Looks like a nice ride for off road!
Rose bikes had cheap black inline seat posts, but just saw that they sold out.. -

Tak.
Yes I forgot to bring my chain tool. Also need to change pulleys and get indexing right. I do have a lot of p2s but they are lovely forks -

It is annoyingly slack. I might get another pair of forks at some point. But this is a super budget build so I am not prepared to throw to much at it.

I want to black out the larger decals on my old HED Stingers to calm them down a bit. Looks like paint or thin transfers under clear coat so I can't just shave them off. What's the best solution? Paint pen, masking and spray or trace and black vinyl?

Picked up a new frame, once I get some employment it'll get built. Plan is fixed, two brakes, drops, mudguards in the winter and maybe even a rack.
Going to be asking stupid drivetrain questions in 3...2...1...
(forks obviously temporary)

@typicaltom Yeh it'd be nice to find a match, but it's quite an off yellow so maybe some splash tape would work better.
@Rodolfo Don't think I could do that to it after so many years as it is. I think a new chainring and some polishing will make the Ofmega come up nicely anyway. I'd have only done something inappropriate and fitted this
@Gaston I've always fancied one and only recently found one at a decent price. Will let you know if I don't get on with it, but I reckon it'll be a keeper.

Love the green tape and cages. Nice plain inline and a matte fork would make it very tasty.

Just picked up this to use as a beater. My knees are telling me that I need a mildly sensible bike and this will fit the bill. Going to fit my clamp on brake and sort out getting a rack, either cetma or find a cheap road fork and go that route.
Collecting the wheels tomorrow as I couldn't carry it all in one go (track wheels on for quick test). Need a longer seatpost which I think I have, changing cranks to my campag/sugino mix and match combo. Need to source some pedals and then she's all good to go!

What are decent, not super expensive, rim-brake cross clinchers? Are R460s tough enough?

The Condor x Richard James is nearly there.
New Condor track grips.
New tyres for skidding (although gumwalls would look much better)
New Condor carbon (3k weave) top cap (on sale at Condor and not on the photo).Used colour coded wide risers are from @joel_austen - I have to say that, having only used fake chinese risers in the past, these are super stiff, light and do not flex. So overall very happy with them.
Next step is fitting a front brake & clamp on lever and a Rockbros 'Crane Replica' bell.

Or the Pashley if I have champagne deliveries to do.
Wiggle has good prices on Challenge Elite Gumwalls 700x25 so I am tempted to purchase.
But realistically they'll last a week...http://www.wiggle.co.uk/challenge-elite-open-tubular-road-tyre/

More like 2 skids. Those things are thin.

That looks awesome, I do tend to agree that it needs gum walls though.

Bike track ready.
Few slight adjustments stem to be raised slightly and carbon seat/seatpost to pop on. (Do I need a specific grease for carbon? Or is lithium based grease good?)Second time this year on sundrive VERY FUN.

I had forgotten about black vinyl. I got a motorbike helmet that was a bit too busy. Used a load of black vinyl panels to cover up 60% of the design and it looks great. Easy to do and no mess. Should only take an hour or so, definitely worth it.
