Ive rediscovered part of my youth this last 7 months it seems, having got into riding pump tracks, it reminds my of when I used to be down at my local skate park most evenings when I should have been doing homework. Locating and riding new pump tracks has been great at developing my daughters' riding skills, my youngest can fluidly roll most of the way round a small local one on her balance bike, my eldest is starting to really push and pump her way round some of the more technical ones even though she's barely school age. I've been steadily improving too, though a mid 40's body isn't quite as responsive as it once used to be. Oddly I'm alternating between riding my 26" HT and my 20" wheel folding bike(!), the folder is almost better suited, but then it is probably closest to a BMX with the seat dropped right down. We had loads of fun at the Bristol Brunel Way track a couple of days ago, I just love how much fun riding you can have in such a confined space.

I thought I'd start a thread as I couldn't see an existing one on here, and there is bound to be some others on here that can share some experience.!

Don't ask, don't get. I wish you the best of luck in getting what you want out of this. As another 70s bungalow owner I have many ambitions for extending up in the future. I've just spent the last few years bringing the current living space up to relatively modern standards, but without doing anything too short sighted that would prevent future enhancements. I'm definitely going to follow this for inspiration and tips.

That'll be the reflector bracket. Pretty sure you can get away without it in there, headset still tightens down ok.

The previous owner must have been a really lanky t-rex, judging by the saddle and bar position. Unless that's how you've set it up?
Great starting place anyway. The Mori headsets are pretty funky inside with self adjusting coil springs and toothed races, but are usually still servicable.
