New guy wants 3200, with vat, but also offered a bit cheaper for cash. Cheeky bugger.
Also claims 2-3 weeks?!

Never heard of the brand but I'm not a big fan of vp. With taps it's hard to tell without getting hands on. I'm a big fan of hans grohe but they don't do black afaik. Isn't black in for a while and then avocado bathroom suite.

Black taps are a bit "Barry White" for my liking.
-
• #7159
"Tara black" are dead nice taps but expensive. Black taps with bits of chrome, nope...

Pics or it didn't happen

No, they're ugly.
If you're going for black taps then you have to pay for it, nice ones cost dorrah.

Got him down to 2.5k if I paint and do the internal window. No stress. I can live with 2 weeks, but he's blatantly booking a guy to work two jobs in one day (jokes on him as I have cameras in my flat that I can monitor via mobile and sensors that detect when there are people in).
I'm looking into pumps as my pressure is low, combo boiler, @Airhead I'm looking at you for your ever wise words of advice... -

Anyone recommend a make for kitchen taps? Something modern and simple, ideally with a hose thingy. To add to complication - is it possible to get a spout on its own? I've got a weird three hole tap thing - i.e. the taps each have their own hole, the spout another. My spout's broken and held together with gaffer tape. One hole spouts without taps on them hardly seem to exist.

Also don't want to spend an insane amount. -

I've been looking at tapwell.se too but their site is awful so losing the will.
Just had a third guy round, big turkish guy, seemed a decent chap but told me you can't fit pumps to combo boilers so now I'm pretty confused.
Salamander claim their pumps increase pressure from the mains overall with combo boilers.
First guy told me I only needed a pump in the bathroom.
Second guy had to consult his plumber (I think he was just the front man)
Third guy claims not possible (but suggested a good few things for cheap that others claimed were expensive).
@Airhead who's correct? I only trust you!
Absolutely mullered my lower left leg on the edge of a cracked toilet which I was removing yesterday. Had to call an ambulance, it was that bad. It just slipped through my leg like a razor. That's porcelain for you.
Can provide a pic, but it's not recommended for the squeamish.
