It is easier to damage the frame than other components that is why i use cheap frame and expensive components.
Where do you get that fact from?
Drop your bike on the floor. See which bit hits the ground... bars? pedals? saddle?
Not the frame...
A head on collision is more likely to damage the frame or fork than the crankset/finishing kit
Experience. I have extraordinary skills to beat the shit out of the frame/fork.
