in terms of whether Pochettino is the one to take us to the promised land, here's an article by Simon Burnton about Quique Sanchez Flores' sacking, and whether teams should be more proactive in trying to improve their manager situation, rather than be reactive and wait till it goes in the shitter before making a move.
The Sheriff has another couple of season's before this becomes a valid question for us, but it's still a dilemma for chairman/owner if you want your team to continually improve..
I'll answer my own questions:
Pochettinos close season reads :
13/14 8th last six games 8 points (Saints)
14/15 5th with 10 points from the last six games
15/16 3rd with 8 points from the last six
The average of the last six games taken over three seasons would have given you 51 points which is midtable form and would indicate that you'll never win a trophy under Pochettino unless he adapts his tactics and coaching/coaches as you'll most likely will burn out once again at the end of the season.
Make of that what you will.
I like how he sets up his teams but don't think he's the one that's going to win you a PL title if that's the real ambition.
