  • You can't deny that you handed the gooners second place though.
I never believed that Spurs could chase down Leicester but papers have ad space to sell so they'll write whatever it takes.

I'd like to see Pochettinos form table for his last 6 seasons and see how they match up with the teams final league positions as it appears its a reoccurring theme.

I wouldn't be surprised that you're going to end up with a crap season just like L'pool did the last couple of years.

  • We should have taken second, it was in our own hands, and you can't blame anyone else but yourselves when that happens. But we played well to get into that position in the first place, so all of that good feeling should be wiped away because Arsenal hung in there and we gifted them a second spot their play over the season didn't deserve.

We played a lot of games this season, and Pochettino seems like a manager who is learning season by season what he needs to do to prepare the team better, and making sure that the way he wants his team to play isn't compromised as the season wears on. So I'm assuming we'll be better next season, and won't be like liverpool, as we'll have more continuity of players, will be strengthening the squad where necessary with some astute buys, promoting the youth from within and giving them an opportunity to impress and increase the competition in the squad, and the first team will be more used to the rigors of attempting to keep going in the league whilst also playing european matches...

I could of course be wrong, but we won't know until the matches kick off in earnest. So far the Sheriff hasn't done anything to show that he won't be able to improve the team going forward so I'll keep maintaining that we'll be better rather than worse, under his stewardship..
