I think @Markyboy has a bee in his bonnet as he doesn't believe Leicester were given enough credit in the run in, whilst everyone kept predicting that Spurs would chase them down. And/or that despite winning it this season, no one's giving them any chance for next season.
Things turn so quickly from the outside, one minute Spurs are the best team in the league, should win the league, look at the form table, now it's Spurs fucked it up, should have had second, look at the form table. So what are we good team, bad team? young team figuring it all out? Again its external voices saying we should do this, and/or that, and maybe some super hyped fans getting giddy that in league terms we are relevant again.
But I refer the football thread to many of my previous comments about taking this position at the beginning of the season, which I stand by, and pretty much all of the rest of your comments either building us up, and/or knocking us down can get in the sea.

I never believed that Spurs could chase down Leicester but papers have ad space to sell so they'll write whatever it takes.I'd like to see Pochettinos form table for his last 6 seasons and see how they match up with the teams final league positions as it appears its a reoccurring theme.
I wouldn't be surprised that you're going to end up with a crap season just like L'pool did the last couple of years.

Basically, Spurs couldn't cope when it got to what Ferguson called 'squeaky bum time'. All the experts in the media thought Leicester would falter when the pressure was on, but Ranieri showed what a wise manager he is by easing the tension in his squad. Spurs were doing well up until the pressure was really on, then they bottled it.
To be fair, at least they were in the final shake out, Arsenal bottled it in January.

No bee in my bonnet. I have enjoyed my team proving doubters wrong at every step (responding to a defeat/losing a player/playing a top side/etc.), but I don't think we weren't given enough credit - just look at the column inches around the world devoted to us.
Of course you would have taken third at the beginning of the season - that's irrelevant now though. You had us in your sights and blew it, you were ahead of your local rivals for the first time in a generation, with once game to go against a relegated team with 10 men, and blew it.
For the record, I would have been disappointed with anything but first from February onwards when we spanked Man City at their place. At the start of the season, I'd have taken 17th and been pleased with 12th. As the season progressed, we knew the top clubs were underperforming and this opportunity would be unlikely to come around again. Spurs were in a similar position, with a much better squad on paper, and fluffed their lines.

Your lot should have walked into second place but cocked things up spectacularly. Just look at the form table. With the Euros taking place plus CL to worry about than you'd think that @Markyboy isn't going to be far off the truth.
