Your lot should have walked into second place but cocked things up spectacularly. Just look at the form table. With the Euros taking place plus CL to worry about than you'd think that @Markyboy isn't going to be far off the truth.

I think @Markyboy has a bee in his bonnet as he doesn't believe Leicester were given enough credit in the run in, whilst everyone kept predicting that Spurs would chase them down. And/or that despite winning it this season, no one's giving them any chance for next season.
Things turn so quickly from the outside, one minute Spurs are the best team in the league, should win the league, look at the form table, now it's Spurs fucked it up, should have had second, look at the form table. So what are we good team, bad team? young team figuring it all out? Again its external voices saying we should do this, and/or that, and maybe some super hyped fans getting giddy that in league terms we are relevant again.
But I refer the football thread to many of my previous comments about taking this position at the beginning of the season, which I stand by, and pretty much all of the rest of your comments either building us up, and/or knocking us down can get in the sea.
I would disagree, but then again you'd expect that wouldn't you.
Capitulation after they went to ten men isn't good. But it's the only game of the season where we've been done over like that. So though not happy at getting done over by a team already relegated and letting Arsenal above us in the table (currently the only thing they have to celebrate, and boy are they celebrating it!)
I'm not sure whose been blowing the Spurs to win it next season missives into your ear, spurs fans, media, other clubs fans? But don't think anyone with any sense is doing that.
Think we'll challenge, but win it all? That's a big ask with the added pressure of competing in the champions league, where we won't get the chance to sack it off, field the youngsters and concentrate on the league.
Next season, hopefully the maturation of the side carries on, this defeat can be used as motivation that you need to play and compete in every game to succeed, (and sometimes being scarred by an experience is good, makes you not want it to happen again, drives you to do better, but we'll only know when it gets to the nitty gritty next season) and the Sheriff will gain more experience about how to manage a team at the sharp end.
As @Ramsaye said I'd have snatched your arm off for this placing and performances at the beginning of the season, and one duff match against relegation fodder, and a slipping of intensity after the league was won isn't something to be dismayed about.
Hopefully next season brings another challenge for a top three spot, and into the knockout stages of the champions league...
