6 months... oof.

Will they make you sit in a windowless room working on non critical projects until your time is up? That's what they did to a friends husband a few years ago at Mercedes.

They might have done if I was going to a competitor team but no, I'll be carrying on as usual.

6 months is pretty standard in this industry.
