Enjoy it then, Bergamo is a stunningly beautiful town, especially the Citta Alta.
It's your typical Italian event, every goes off like the clappers, then slow to walking pace when they hit a climb. The scenery is amazing, but some of the descents are a bit sketchy on narrow roads that are open to traffic.
No, I haven't - first time for me. @Cycliste has, but it was a long time ago. It was back in the days when she was still riding with flat pedals, and one Italian gentleman riding past shouted 'Complimenti! Pedale normale!' or something to that effect.
It's the Gran Fondo Nove Colli the week after the Felice Gimondi - it'll be my 5th time, I think. Also fantastic food stops, which I will be trying not to spend too long at.
