I don't have time to do specific 10mi training. I think I hit an all time 10 power PB on Saturday so if the weather was better I'd have nailed the record and be done with it.

Nor do I. I just was pulling your leg.
Not ridden f11 but Steve I thinks it's decent fast. On a good day its fast course.

The H10/181 is a nice course but isn't nearly as fast as the F11 etc. You need an easterly for best conditions and that doesn't happen particularly often.

Steve?

Irwin.

Cheers.
Yeah, I don't want to 'waste' my time on slower courses. I'm after club records and PBs and that's it. I'll worry about updating my times on other courses next season.

There's an e2/10 weekend after this.
But I don't think it'll be 30sec faster. I wish then I could join the 18 club. -
• #12784
It's an ECCA-only event so no good for me.
-
• #12785
Ah yeah.

My brother and I always record very similar times. My 10 mile is a lowly 22:42, achieved at ridiculous o'clock in the back end of Kent (not the Q10/19). My brother has done the F11/10 in about 21:15.

F11/10 Tring course:
Advantages
Fast DC, nice surface, massive hill down that runs into a cutting so you hold your speedDisadvantages:
First turn is very long and slow (and has an annoying late line of sight onto the r/b), course can be susceptible to adverse wind with a tough finish, two turnsI've ridden the F11 and F20 both >5 times and my top 3/4 times are all on the F20 (inc one ride post chippings)

Anyone know how to see Xav's list of available slots at Aerocoach? I've signed up to the email on his website but nothing has come through - not on Twitter or Facebook or anything so not sure how I get a hold of the list. Cheers!
-

I don't know if it still applies, but we I went it worked something like this:
Join mailing list
Wait for Xav to email out about available slots (I guess every few weeks)
Sign up quickly... I think it's first come first served each time a new set of slots are released.I looked into booking a double session with a friend but he couldn't make it so I told Xav I was happy to share a slot with anyone and I think he slotted me in when someone else cancelled.

F11/10 and F20/10 are being run on the same day, 18 Jun.

• #12791
He sends them out to the email list each month I think.

F11/10 - midday:
https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/race-details/11957F20/10 - 18:30:
https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/race-details/11959Hmm, race 2 x 10 miles and then a 100 mile the next day? That would probably see me miss ALL three club records :)

The F11 event is definitely at 1400. I just entered it.
I'll have just stepped off a plane from Peru so will be either ridiculously jet lagged, or I'll be benefitting from 2weeks at 3-4000m :-D.
edit: ah I see... I don't understand why so many events are listed twice... e.g. https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/race-details/11958 and https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/race-details/11956

I'm just going by what the CTT site says:
"Date/Time: 18-Jun-16 12:00:00"It's irrelevant to me because I can't race two 10s AND break the club 100 record the next day.

They list BBAR and/or district events separately. Also things like middle-marker and womens or juniors events have separate entries.
The two you highlighted I have no idea which is which and which one normal people should enter. The only difference I can see is "preference to Women and Juniors"

Cool cheers - patience is a virtue then!

If you're an adult male, enter the main event (11956) and tell Thomo you're happy to be put in the overflow if you don't make the cut.
-
• #12799
How do you tell which is main and overflow though?

By riding in previous years and knowing that the main event is 150 places and the W/J/Overflow is 90
Yeah, I really should check it out since it's out my way but it's not run as often I don't think so I tend to have other things scheduled already.
18 Jun - day before E2/100
29 Aug - after TCR, probably be broken
03 Sep - before breckland 12hr and after TCR
Seems odd that it's north London district when it's so far west.
Have you ridden F11/10?
