Cambridge gets a good write up, would have bought that if I didn't get a Tube Box II cheap

A house Guest blew my gale gold monitor speakers while I was away. Not sure what happened and I can’t see any damage to the speaker cone. I was fairly happy with them in my set up of Rega Planar – Rotel RA 930AX – Gale Gold.
Any Suggestions on what I could replace them with? Ideally I’d like a pair of klipsch heresy but don’t have the space.
If anyone has a rega phona pre amp (with motor adjuster) I may also be interested

Broke the cantilever off that Dynavector cartridge when I was dusting down the deck. Schoolboy error, WAC etc. Not my day today. Luckily it was 90% life expired so didn't really owe me anything.
@chrisbmx116; I've located a Linn K9 cartridge with plenty of life left. Will mount that onto the Akito if you want to hear what it sounds like.

Who would like a Dual CS505-3 with an Ortofon OM10 cartridge?
Has had very little use. Mainly because, and this is the kicker, since it was almost new as soon as you plug it in it feeds back like a bastard. Must have an earthing problem which I cannot be bothered sorting out.
The perspex top is intact, but with scratches, and marked from having something placed upon it that reacted with the plastic. It's the black finish.Get yer soldering irons at the ready, take it away from my Bethnal Green residence and it's yours for nowt.

Just read up on these Chromecasts, seem like great devices overall, but be aware they don't allow streaming from some sources like You Tube for example...

i am yet to find a solution to the streaming issue for everything. i have my imac wired to my dac, as i can't get around the lag through airplay

Great shout on the Chromecast, been after one of them for a while

I'm using a NAD DAC II which has been great.
I'm considering whether it's worth just going for it and getting something like the Marantz NA6005.

So, I'm moving house in August and I have a special room with the following set up:
Vitsoe 606 shelving (10,000 vinyl)
Technics 1200s
Pioneer DJM 909
Yamaha DXR15sFair to say it's a boys dream. However I want a new high-end turntable to sit in the new living area (kitchen, study open plan bit).
Linn seem to me a good place to start. Anyone have experience of using them or should I be aiming a bit lower. I'm not going to spend £10k on a turntable but am not above a couple of thou' to get it right.

Yep, they do YouTube.
The video ones that is, dunno about audio.

what features do you want that differ from an sl1200?
-
• #3046
Better arm, better plinth, better wiring, better motor, better turntable, better needle ;)....
-
• #3047
ok wiseacre, but apart from those trivial points....
-
• #3048
If I had £2k to spend on a turntable, I'd go for something like the Roksan Radius 7.

I may be many years behind the times, but is the LP12 not still the go-to turntable?!

I forgot stable power supply too ;)
Personally the best improvement I noticed was cleaning the records, buy a decent ultrasonic bath that can fit the whole record in and a replacement needle.
Oh and proper set upof the arm and needle.

Is that the Phono Box MM? The Cambridge audio unit has a better distortion figure.
I have a NAD preamp somewhere that just needs a PSU. Just can't remember which box it's in....
