I am looking into it as well. Local bike shop here did one they blogged about:

I'd go for fatter tyres and either cheaper gears or the whole carbon belt rohloff shabang I think.

And that'd one of the main reasons I haven't upgraded from my beat up masi.
I have no really secure storage. Mind you, my enigma lives out side on our front veranda under a bike cover. Bolted down with a ground anchor, that is. -

My Salsa Vaya, updated with wider tyres, 45-622 Specialized Fatboys, since the last post.

Pelago commuter?
Looks smart.

Nope, with a looong delivery time from a German store called Hibike.
Rack is indeed a large Pelago Commuter.

So it's heavier than a Tubus, weird looking and much more breakable?
The quick release system is pretty clever though

And proprietary panniers can >>>>>>>>>>
I want to hate it, but I respect the idea. It's just another solution to a problem nobody had.

They do say you can use other panniers, but yes.

Arrgh. Makes it all the more shit seeing a pic of it again. It's gotta be spotted by someone at some point. it's too unique a bike to miss.
Also, don't want to bury the hatchet again, so apologies, but damn that's an awesome bike. -
