Yeah, it was the Z3 or Z5 I was looking at. I can't recall. There might even be variations amongst them that are/aren't hardened. Just not quite got around to spending another chunk of cash on yet another GPS device :)
In other news Garmin 1000 has surpassed any of their previous models for stability. Well done Garmin, apart from the battery life, you've actually managed to make something work, oh wait, I did have to reboot it once but it picked up immediately and it may have recovered anyway if I was more patient.
I have a Sony Xperia z3 compact, and have tested it's waterproofness with several pint glass dunkings... Still works fine about 12-18months on and I'm not particularly carful with it.
It's not a brand new model, and when I bought it someone on here posted up a link to buy it for c.£300. I know it's not super cheap, but it seems like there are (were) good deals around, and the waterproofness is a bonus. Also has a micro SD slot to expand the memory if needed for map/music storage.
