I believed it was water resistant as they sell it as. It's not. So yes, it broke from water damage.

Broken as the battery wont hold charge, it was shit anyway, didn't seem to have a lock to prevent accidental button press. Radio had crap reception too, resorted to listen to static at one point- apologies Q not directed at me.

No it's not waterproof (broken one already that way). It's a little durable.
I broke my moto force, they said it was water resistant. I disagree.
I bought a moto style, because it was cheap and good enough. I just won't treat it as water resistant.
