  • Defo try them as many times as possible, always a good plan.

  • In other news. Edit (not Free) Beer clearance party on Sat 23rd April:

    I (still) predict a riot.

  • Anyone going to The Ivy House beer festival this weekend?

  • Have you bottled it yet? I'm going back there this Saturday for my second brew... No idea what we're making though!

  • The Bear in Camberwell has reopened. This was their opening night beer list, defo worth a visit

  • My god... The prices...

  • Yeah I know, this is why I drink half pints very slowly

  • ^ ditto but thirds where possible ;)

B.A.DIPA on the go. Mellow, syrupy, and soft flavours. Nice.

  • Had a Beavertown Skull King, was far too sweet I couldn't finish it. Got a Buxton Kingmaker waiting in the fridge.

  • After enjoying the Beavertown Bloody Ell recently I tried the Juice Box Citrus IPA on draught on Friday. Smelt and tasted of eggs, very weird, we thought maybe it was off but the barman insisted there was nothing wrong. Decided to stick with Beavertown..

  • Usually a product of the yeast - sulphurous smell. I'd send a beer like that back.

  • I usually come back so fucking hungover I can stand the thought of carrying any beer back.

    So many return trips wasted...

  • This is why I...

    "you take card right?"

  • These guys were my intro to craft beer before it was craft beer... not available over here though :(

  • Omnipollo's Hypnopompa marshmallow imperial stout for dessert. Winner.

  • Drank the bottle of Un-human cannonball I picked up the other week. Not bad but don't think it was worth £13 or whatever though. Doubt I'll bother next year.

  • Had a Cloudwater Lapsang Lichtenhainer and Siren Craft Wine Barrel Aged Undercurrent last night.

You could definitely taste the smoked tea in the the Cloudwater and the Siren certainly had a white wine backnote to it.

  • Harbour Brewing Co (Bodmin) APA currently on offer in M&S, six cans for about £8. It's decent, dry, bitter and fruity. They also have a "Laid Back" pale ale which I didn't really take to.

  • Just been in a pub in Cambridge that charge £45 for a 330ml bottle of Westveleteren 12.

  • Was in North Norfolk and the local village (Holt) had an Adnams shop. Got a mini keg of Fat Sprat, four cans of Ghost Ship (to drink while the keg settled) and six bottles of Lagunitas IPA. Didnt realise Adnams was the importer for Lagunitas.

The mini keg was great and a revelation in a way to buy beer. 8 pints for £16 and poured really well. Any other places do them?

  • Supping this Chapel Down effort at the airport. Pretty meh.

  • Their stout is nice

  • Actually the mouthfeel is very nice. Says they do secondary fermentation with champagne yeast so that might have something to do with it.

  • Trying my best to age a bottle of Maiden 2015,
Well it's lasted two weeks so far!

  • Cloudwater Seville Sour finally cracked, was v.tasty, worked well.

Magic Rock Inhaler, great. Needed more cans.

Trying not to open the Kingmaker to sit in the garden with tonight...

Edit no will power, toasted marshmallows were good too (Mums & Dads thread >>>>>>>)
