Go for the 42mm version, big supple tyres are fucking amazing.

Having said that I can understand the price being quite high, why not go for the Marathon Supreme in 40mm? 490g (HD Speed Guard version) isn't bad for a slightly tougher tyres that felt better than the Pasela, unless you wanna go for that gumwall look.

The Supreme is the best touring tyres you can get for the money, light, supple, smooth and have that Marathon blue gel insert.

I've got the Supremes on my Croix de Fer as well. Only a week or so now, but already I am impressed with the low rolling resistance for such a heavier/tougher tire, and at a good price point.
